Why stuf & co?I am often  asked, because I'm always bringing' stuff'( aka wonderful treasures and junk ) home and having various members of my family exclaim  "not more stuff !?"

So having moved to Hobart and itching to get back into selling ,I announced I was going into business and when asked what I would call myself  I cheekily answered
Stuf & co (with one f) That shut THEM up!!
So idea born, name chosen, where to sell ?I didn't fancy regular markets again and didn't want to be tied full time in a shop of my own, Hmm! where?
'Lets go for a ride,' said Sir Stuf----' you  do your best thinking when on the move''".O.K' says I," lets go to New Norfolk, Iv'e heard there are a lot of antique shops there".So off we go.
Don't know what this is but I love it,look at those cog wheels!!

a lovely drive along side the river , and twenty minutes later just before entering the town we spotted a sign on the left for Ring Road Antiques so down Glebe Road we went and yea! another sign to the right down The Avenue and yet another to the right on Ring Rod  and there it was.
The first thing that struck me on entering the building was the wonderful light in there and the huge industrial feel of the building (which was the old carpenters workshop attached to the now closed Derwent Hospital) Very spacious and high with lots of windows .
here it is again, anybody have a clue what it is?

The second thing was the warm welcome from the lady behind the desk.I instantly liked the place and found several things to buy! During the opening of cabinets and chatting to the owner I asked if any shops rented space  and was told yes WE do! Great, love the shop, sorted out sizes and prices and went home to think about it.
love old wooden  ironing boards this one needs some tlc

Then the the doubts began to nag, will my style be ok? My style is not traditional, they might not like it ,they had some very lovely traditional pieces in the shop and I come from the vintage, shabby, quirky, junky, school!!

A few days later I received a phone call," when are you coming, do you need any help?" wow ! how nice was that?  I explained my doubts and said I have lots of zinc and baskets and quirk and chippy painted  furniture, quilts and linen etc." Do you think that will fit in?"" Love it," was the reply  "when are you moving in?" so I bit the bullet and moved my stuff in and have now been there 16 months and have expanded my space and seen the shop grow and develop into an EVEN MORE really interesting place to visit.check out the website at www.ringroadantiques.com.au
